The service

Honey Does This is a mobile app that returns AI-generated feedback on outfit photos you submit, and lets you share results with a small circle of friends or via a private link. The feedback is meant to be supportive and is not professional styling, medical, or any other regulated advice. The current version is free; we may change pricing in the future with notice.

Your account and @handle

You need an account to use the app. You agree to provide an accurate email, keep your password reasonably secure, and not share your account with anyone else. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the app.

@handle rules. Your @handle is the public identifier other Honey users see when you send a friend request, share a look in-app, or comment on a feed item. Handles are 3–20 characters, lowercase letters / digits / underscores, and globally unique on the active user space. A few patterns are off-limits to keep things workable:

• No impersonation of real people, public figures, brands, or other Honey users.
• No squatting — we may reclaim and reassign a handle that's clearly held for resale, used to impersonate, or identical to a reserved name. We won't reclaim a handle simply for being inactive.
• A small reserved set (honey, admin, support, etc.) can't be picked.

When you delete your account, your handle is freed for someone else to claim.

Acceptable use

Don't upload, share, or comment with:

• Photos of other people who haven't consented to AI analysis of their image or to being shared on Honey.
• Photos of anyone you know to be under 18.
• Nudity, sexual content, or sexually explicit material.
• Photos or text depicting violence, hate, harassment, doxxing, or illegal activity.
• Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
• Anything intended to attack, probe, or otherwise misuse the service.

Friend graph and in-app shares. Don't send unsolicited friend requests in bulk, don't impersonate other users, and don't use the in-app share feature to send harassing, threatening, or harmful content to a friend's inbox. Friend requests are explicit and reciprocal; declining is silent and we will not reveal the decision to the sender.

Comments (web link and in-app). The same rules apply to typed comments on a share you receive — whether anonymously via the web link or as a named friend via an in-app feed item. No harassment, no doxxing, no sexually explicit content. Anonymous web commenters are still bound by these terms even without a Honey account; the 30-second undo window is the only built-in correction lane after that the row is locked.

Reactive takedown. We don't pre-screen content. When a user reports a violation, we review it and may remove the content, hide a comment, terminate the offending account, or block an IP-hash range from leaving anonymous web feedback on the affected link. Severe or repeated violations (harassment, doxxing, illegal content, impersonation, CSAM) result in immediate account termination and full data deletion per the Privacy Policy retention rules. We reserve discretion in close cases.

Your content; license to operate the service

You keep ownership of the photos you upload and the comments you write. To run the service for you, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, transmit, and process those photos, comments, and the analyses we produce, solely to provide the app to you, deliver them to the people you've chosen to share with, and comply with law. The license ends when you delete the content, revoke a share, or delete your account, except where retention is necessary for legal compliance or fraud prevention.

Shares to friends and to web-link recipients are not 'broadcasts.' They reach only the friend(s) you tapped or the people you forwarded the link to. We never make your content public on a discovery feed or surface it in any 'for you' system.

AI output

Feedback is generated by an AI model and may be wrong, incomplete, or simply not to your taste. Treat it as a friendly second opinion, not a definitive recommendation. We don't guarantee accuracy and you make your own choices about what to wear.

Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the app you agree to that policy.

Service availability

We aim to keep the app working but we don't guarantee that it will always be available, accurate, or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features without notice. Scheduled downtime, third-party outages (Anthropic, Supabase, Cloudflare, Expo), and unforeseen failures can interrupt the service.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the in-app You tab. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the service or to other users. On termination, your account and associated data are deleted per the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The app is provided 'as is.' To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Because the MVP is free, that amount is zero.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. If you live in a jurisdiction whose consumer-protection laws give you stronger rights, those rights still apply where required.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app with the updated date below. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
